Well tis the season....it's not quite New Years which is more traditionally the time to reflect back on the past year but a lot has been rolling around in my head for the past few weeks.
It has not escaped my notice how different this Christmas is for me. Last year's Christmas was not so good (understatement) on a number of fronts. This year is still a bit of a challenge; it's still a little lonely and I'm not having an open house or touring Corydon for gift ideas but I am headed "home" for the holidays. I can't wait to get there. There are 2 fun boys to hang out with, amazing Christmas baking a la sister to sample, friends to catch up with as much as possible, my dad's yearly debate between turkey and ham and ridiculously cold weather to adjust to.
And I'm thankful for all of it...even the -30 temps.
. . . . . . . . . . Tongue in cheek tales of a redhead who seems to take the long way...
